The Regional Art Space is a rotating local artist gallery in the Public House, that will feature a different local artist each month to take over the space and display their work.
March 2020: Todd Lim
Todd Lim is an accomplished artist having graduated New York’s School of Visual Arts in the late 1980’s, a time when transgressive and provocative art was pouring into the mainstream. Todd’s works are exhibited in countless museums and galleries and in the permanent collections of Smithsonian Museum, MIT Museum, New York Public Library, among others.
Todd is known for his works with eye popping energy which challenge us with social issues. In consideration of the Regional’s ‘Art Space’, Todd focuses more on universal favorite themes and comforting nostalgia. He surrounds the visitor with smile-evoking imagery while prodding us with questions, puns and riddles through complex visual layering.
In a time where fun, celebration of being and just plain relaxing can often be forgotten,
‘Pop-Pop, Fizz-Fizz’ invites you to take a break and enjoy some comfort from our past.
